My dads doctor drank his own urine
There were those of us in our younger days, that thought weight would definitely be gained ingesting sed fluid GJ.... for at least 40weeks anyways!
I do love your turn of phrase, GJ Whilst having a chat with the neighbours just now about arthritis the consumption of urine was on my mind. I'm just waiting for Jeremy Kyle and God Genius font of all knowledge Graham to tackle the subject with Jeremy Kyle sitting on the step ranting at a guest 'YOU CHEATED ON HER BY DRINKING SOMEONE ELSE'S PISS! GROW UP AND GET A JOB!!'
Does it taste like Apple Juice?
I imagine it to taste like that for some reason, probably cos it looks similar. I'm probably wrong.

It can reflect what you have been drinking. Before the days of sophisticated tests for diabetes, that is how doctors would tell if someone was diabetic - taste their urine, The excess glucose that was not being metabolised would make the urine taste sweet.

My father (adopted) was in Russia during WW1 and there were several times when drinking their urine was the only source of liquid for the soldiers.
Would anyone here eat a plate full of someone elses poo for a million quid?
