No Wagner...you won't win...cos you are shit not cos you are Brazilian
SIMON Cowell has signed a staggering ÂĢ100MILLION deal with ITV to keep The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent on the telly until 2013.
And the music mogul, who owns TV firm Syco, will bank a further ÂĢ20million when he signs his personal appearances deal in weeks.
Simon, 50, has agreed to return as a judge on both shows which pull in up to 20 million viewers. It ends speculation he might give up one or both to concentrate on US X Factor.
Under the deal, signed with ITV yesterday by Syco and its production partner Talkback Thames, ITV2 will also show US X Factor and America's Got Talent.
Simon said last night: "I'm thrilled to conclude this deal with ITV to enable our relationship to continue to develop.
"I'm committed to making sure both shows get bigger and better every year."
Sources claim ITV are paying a "small hike" to land The X Factor and BGT.
Under the agreement, Simon will NOT sit through the BGT auditions which air next spring and will instead join for the semi-finals.
He said earlier this year he was fed up with the "horrific" heats.
Next year's X Factor will run at the same time as the US version, which starts in September.
It means Simon could have to jet across the Atlantic every week to make sure he doesn't miss any of the live shows.
A source close to Simon said: "He's working on a way around it."
It is also unlikely The X Factor live finals will run into the New Year, as ITV chiefs feared.
A source said: "Simon jets to Barbados for Christmas and the New Year. He's not keen to give that tradition up."
Simon will now thrash out his appearance fees.
His ÂĢ6million-a-year deal ends this year and sources suggest he will get a modest increase to earn around ÂĢ20million over the next three years.
He will rake in more through spin-offs and iTunes downloads.
Syco, Talkback Thames and ITV also take a slice of The X Factor vote-lines cash.
ITV boss Peter Fincham said last night: "The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent have helped define the last decade of television in the UK.
"They have become more than just a talking point - they are a national obsession. I'm delighted our viewers can continue to enjoy them on ITV over the next three years."

It's another Wagner Carillho on X factor.
The Sun has posted the video, which shows the Brazilian wearing a hi-visibility jacket and passing the joint to a co-worker.
Wagner has reportedly said: "A lot of musical geniuses like Bob Marley and Paul McCartney smoked cannabis."
A source added: "Simon would hit the roof if anyone smoked drugs in the X Factor house."
Wagner has previously been caught on tape saying that he "would not be allowed to win" the series because he is Brazilian
Think I will start to vote for Wagner ,join the rest.
