I've had to come back in here to the computer. Lockes they always do under a conservative goverment they look after their own, watching Nick Clegg yesterday cheering along with the conservatives when the cuts were being announced was not nice viewing, it  would not surprise me if he changed parties and joined the conservatives when their time is up  as I agree the Libdems are toast IMO

Marg, I agree and the only way the lib dems can save themselves is if they walk away now from the coalition, but I dont think this is likely to happen

It is very early days for this coalition government. Time will tell!
Politics is very Yin-Yang. The pendulum swings - as it gets too extreme there is resistance and it swings back.....and so it goes on.

We have our Scottish parliament elections next year,the lib Dems will take a pasting.They have seats up here to lose.

Agree it was the big smiles and cheering by that loathsome crew that sickened me.Folk losing their jobs,disability living allowance   etc, shows that it 's vindictive as well as "Necessary".

I thought they'd lost the plot completely and had that confirmed when Danny Alexander said (on the Daily Politics Show): We wont need as many police and prison cells because crime will go down. OMG, are these the people that rule us? Gold help this country and all who sail in her.

I think the main problem is that it all looks fine in theory but these are people's lives we are dealing with and people are all different with all sorts of problems .
So one size will never fit all and people will suffer.
