I used to watch Kavanagh. I don't think it is the same actor, Brisket.

To clarify, the two pics appear to be of the same actor, but they are not pics of the actor who played Matt Kavanagh,
I bet that is as clear as mud now.

Tom Brodie was born in 1978 so would have been in Kavanagh during the time he was aged 17 to 21. He would be 32 by now, so I doubt if it's the man in that advert.

(and I had forgotten that Cliff Parisi best known as Minty in Eastenders was also in Kavanagh)

Thanks El Loro.   I've searched high and low and can find nothing further about Tom Brodie as an actor.  Strange how a person and a career can simply disappear  - just like that!!

My guess is that Tom Brodie quit acting when he left Kavanagh. He may have gone back to using his birth name of Tom Baker, but obviously couldn't use that as his acting name.

I keep seeing this thread title and just had to tell you that I don't know. That is all.

You may remember my wish to identify this actor about a month ago.
I was unsuccessful, in spite of spending a lot of time and determination.
But now, I am pleased to say my patience has been rewarded.
El Loro, Yogi, and Baz were correct. The man in the iPlayer advert is not Tom Brodie.
He is identified as Matt Mccooey, a British-Japanese actor, who has worked in film, commercials and on stage.

i have been doing a bit of looking around and have found a couple of things which might be of interest to brisket etc.

Here's a link to a website for Matt McCooey where you will find out more about him.

Amongst other details, it says that he is a bilingual British Japanese  actor.
And on the home page it mentions Colin the Ninja. Not only is he an actor but this is a short film which he wrote and directed.

I suppose you expect me to come up with more details about this film such as what is it about etc. I could, but I thought you would prefer to see the film yourself.
