When I was about fourteen, I'd make special cocktails which consisted of the top half an inch of every bottle in my parents' drinks cabinet.

I can't remember the exact recipe, but it worked.

I have never had a cocktail.

Why?
Because I have an absolute phobia about being sick and looking at the way some of those drinks are mixed I know it will end in tears.

So I am happy to stick with wine thank you.

When I was a student the 'Green Bastard' was a favourite. 

Top row of the bar, topped up with some crappy mixer.  It was appalling

Polish Martini

Vodka, apple juice and honey (liqueur) , then a sprinkle of cinnamon on the top.

Another one, I can't remember everything that was in it, but it definitely had vodka, crushed basil and black pepper on top.  Sounds odd, but is very tasty.

I had bought a bottle of grenadine ( i have been known to call it a grenade before)  to make Mia tia's and then ended up adding it to every cocktail, and dessert and cake. They do huge bottles of the stuff in tesco, you can't get rid of it.

It is traditionally made with pomegranate syrup, but i think it is more strawberry/cherry

Only ever go to the high-rise bars in Hamburg! The latest one had the best view but most expensive drinks and I paid fifty poond for four. However mine, a Prince of Wales, not a fag paper away from the one described by Bateman above, were great! No wonder the bloke it was named after got into fights, shagged anything that moved, and may or may not have had "certain diseases!"

I had a bottle of galliano once Evelyn and that was the same, just would NOT go! had it for years and gathering dust before i chucked it.
