My mother had one of these sliding window box traps, probably the same type as Marguerita. They are fine for smooth surfaces, and best when used on a wall. Could be a bit harder using this on a ceiling though as you need both hands, one to hold the handle and the other to slide the window shut. Also good for flies and wasps if they assist by resting on a window pane.

Isadora I dont kill spiders I bought a spider trap it is a see through plastic square box with a long handle it is like a little window you slide it along at the bottom put it on top of the spider then close it, I release the spider in the garden I bought mine from Betterware I am not sure if you can buy them in the shop
Ditto Marg.... we have exactly the same... and it's great, not only for spiders but for flies, wasps etc....

I see you Cologne i started a thread the other day about *what's for dinner* and someone said we aren't allowed to say mushy peas around you and some of us wondered why?
 I have no idea about the mushy peas. Fair enough I don't like them, but I don't think I ever posted about that and my granddaughter loves them, so I have to put up with them now and again.
