I'd like to make a comprehensive poll covering favourite film stars.
I thought I would do it in different categories - for example best cowboy, best song & dance man, best gangster etc....
But first I'd like some of your ideas. Who do you like in these categories:
Gangsters
Song & Dance Men
Song & Dance Women
Bitches (or rather strong women)
Cowboys

I have collected a few pictures as reminders and to jog memories, but I would very much like you to add names of your own so that the final poll would be more comprehensive.

Blimey Brisket. It is much easier to say who I don't like, because the list you have here is fabulous with some of the best movie stars ever. I never cared for Randolph Scott or Richard Widmark, didn't mind Jack Palance. Didn't like |Julie Andrews, or Barbara Stanwyck, I found her too butch for my liking.And, I would rather have Fred Astaire than Gene Kelly. Gene was rather to arty farty for me, I liked the romance of Fred Astaire. And as for the rest of the stars you have here, they were superb, I loved them all. Thanks for this thread Brisket.X

How about a leading man? Of course, Cary Grant would win hands down, but could include Rock Hudson, Gregory Peck. Clark Gable.

Then of course you would have leading ladies - Deborah Kerr, Julia Roberts, Sally Fields.

And not forgetting the great character actors/actresses - Liz Smith. Judy Densch, Maggie Smith.

Thank you for the reminder and suggestions.
I think I should re-jig the categories - for example, as Suzi-Q has suggested the leading lady kind of actress who doesn't fall into the 'strong womewn' category.
I'll give it more thought.
