PC, do you really knit or is this some in joke I don't know!
Yes, I really knit. I've been knitting for the past 15 years or so and my knitting is pretty good, even if I do say so myself. Where I fall down is on the sewing up stage. I'm going to try backstitch on this one since I've never tried it before. Cross everything!

If you have problems with the making up, have you tried pinning it out first? I must admit I usually don't bother but it does help to set the sleeves right.
I tend to use backstitch when making up but use cotton for the sewing rather than the yarn I've used for the knitting as it can be too bulky.

That pattern looks like it was interesting to knit.
I've never attempted a digestive system though!!

I've actually got this pattern   I peruaded my mum to start knitting a digestive system a couple of years ago.  She started on the small intestine, but got very bored after it got to a couple of feet long, so she turned it into a string of sausages and knitted a couple of fried eggs to go with it, and then knitted me a John McCririck     Olly kindly offered to knit the digestive sytem when she realised how disappointed I was that my mum gave up, but I wasn't quite sure what I would do with it when it was finished

But this is my mum's latest knitting project - the Growly family will look stunning when we go out to Tesco's.

Can;t see the pic of your mum;s latest work of art

Oh and PC have you tried knitting the seams together. .I found that worked great for me when I used to knit many moons ago. .or crochet the seams if you can crochet..  tis like normal knitting you just make sure the lead needle goes thru the seam then wrap the wool around, do a plain knit stitch thru the seam then cast off each one as you get the seam together.. dunno if I made that sound complicated... I am trying to picture how I did it in my head and it's not working properly today

it does make a nice neat seam tho..

haha. .I kinda have to say who I am as tis not really obvious from my name . .
I wish everyone would realise that!

I have one request from someone who tells me that they are the nephew of two people that I've never heard of!

I only joined FB, when we were on the channel 4 forum and I was in constant danger of expulsion. I thought it would be a good idea to have a back-up plan.
