I've only really heard it once on Radio 1 yesterday so cannot fully judge after 1 listen, and I only said it was better than Cheryl's new one (which it is), I haven't said it was good.

Nadine should pick an accent and stick to it. She sounds deplorable with that American/Irish twang.

I agree he accent is horrible atm, but some people just pick up accents very easily, I don't think you can really blame her.

Plenty of folk, me included have lived abroad for more than 20years and have not lost or gained an accent.She's beautiufl but her accent  is just affected & she needs to get a grip

Some people are just more Susceptible to it than other but, my uncle has lived in America for 20 years and still has a staunch Derry accent, however my cousin lived in Liverpool for 2 years and speaks with a scouse accent!

RiverRock is right, Fairfax, some people pick up accents naturally easier than others. My sister for example moved to London less than a year ago and she is already starting to develop a southern accent, where as before she was proper northern.
