The end of BB got a short mention on Sky News ,it was then Nadia's suicide bid was mentioned.
Can't sue for emotional distress without a suicide bid can you?
I'm sorry that she thought this is the only option for her, but maybe now she will take a long look at her own actions
She has a council flat?

I hope she gets herself sorted out.
I was given to the impression that BB "screened" all contestants with psychiatrists before they got anywhere the house. I wonder if once you have been in the house and are considered a "celebrity" that the whole series of checks and tests are bypassed?
If this is the case then that is poor form on behalf of the whole BB organisation, who should have picked up on a contestants state of mind. Let's face it, Nadia is not exactly a calm type of person.

Maybe she was considered of sane enough mind before entering the house but then the constant digs and mocks from Coolio about her personal situation made her hit a low. All the negative stuff on various fora wouldn't have helped either I would imagine.

The point being if all of the situations described above have contributed to her current state of mind - it is safe to assume that there were underlying issues before entering the house and as such should have been addressed. BB should also have observed the people in the house and how HM's react and change as the show progresses. After all, they watch so much more than we do and there is little excuse for them not to react.

I see your point, but perhaps those issues had already been addressed and she had received adequate counselling. You can feel totally fine, but then if you suffer constant attacks about the issue you had counselling for, then it's highly possible it could stir up old feelings that weren't present post-therapy.
She needs to know that all is not lost, she has to come to terms with the fact that her dramatic volatile behaviour which is acceptable in a diva is fine if you can sing like Whitney, but as a BB contestant its just not going to wash these days.

I don't think it's as easy as that, Amythist :/

From experience (I have experienced a suicide and also have encountered individuals with deep psychiatric problems) I would doubt that Nadia's problems have been tackled and resolved. I have not seen how Nadia has been harrassed in the house, but it would seem to me that any bullying or excessive taunting would have been addressed by BB.

Very, very true.

It was, but not in the right way. (And that's from what I've seen). There will always be a mystery surrounding that whole incident, but I watched Nadia on her eviction night and I didn't think for one second it was act. I really feel for her :/Reference:

Its been pretty evident in the last few years of BB that the screening process is pretty piss poor... how the feck did Shabaz pass? That said, its really sad about Nadia, I hope she can get some support... though in the other thread people were saying its a lot more difficult than you would expect to get the help people need

I agree. A remark that could only come from someone who hasn't ever suffered any kind of depression. Trans people are a group of citizens with a very high rate of suicide.
