I suggest you do a google search for "NHS" and "written tests". You will see that different trusts have different policies, and it looks as if it depends on the nature of the job. You may find a link to your NHS trust which may give some idea. There are also written tests for people coming from abroad to check their standard of English.

Good luck with it - I'm sure you'll be fine.  It might be worth having a look at some of the adjacent Trusts policies as well - it will give you a good idea of the sort of things you'll be expected to complete.

Hi Lockes... what is the written test for? Have you to talk about yourself and how you deal with issues about mental health in general? I will help you if i can..i am a Staff Nurse in the NHS (yes i know i talk some rubbish! ) But i know my job x Although mental health isnt really my forte , but i deal with allsorts

Sky I really have no idea what the written test is about I got an email just to say I have been invited to take it but it does not say what it will be about, but thanks for the offer anyway

If its for a Mental Health Worker, as you have said, just write stuff about yourself and your qualifications , basically a CV with more info. Good Luck, if i can help you at all, please PM me xx
