I did Yoga for a few years and really noticed the benefits. I became interested in Tai Chi as a next step but there weren't any Masters in our area. I bought a video and learnt something from that and enjoyed it but a teacher would have been much better.
I think you are right about having a teacher Yellow Rose. I did some stuff at home using pictures and books. But when I found a Master the whole experience opened up into something quite different and rewarding. Now I can do it alone with more satisfaction (Ooops - to coin a phrase.)
I used to go to Yoga for several years, and then our teacher started using a sequence of tai chi movements at the beginning of each session. I really enjoyed it, but work committments got in the way of going any more and now I've forgotten it all.
