...what's your favourite?

Was brought to this 'cause I was listening to The Shamen's excremental 'Ebeneezer Goode' and remembered that, despite being deeply immersed in acid house culture at the time I somehow failed to get the chorus.   Made it marginally better when I got the subversion but it's still a shit record.

So, vaguely related (not really), what's that lyric that you initially misheard and part of you still clings to?

Obvious faves are Jimi's, "Excuse me while I kiss this guy".  Or Robert Palmer's prophetic, "Might as well face it you're a dick with a glove".

Yours?

When I was younger and my family would go out for a drive, I was always requesting forced to listen to Bananarama's 'Love in the first Degree'.

Where as the proper lyrics are:

Only you can set me free
Cause I'm guilty
Guilty
Guilty as a girl can be

I thought it was

Only you can set me free
Cause I'm guilty
Guilty
Guilty as a cup of tea

Original lyrics:

'Cause this is thriller, thriller night
And no one's gonna save you from the beast about strike
You know it's thriller, thriller night
You're fighting for your life inside a killer, thriller tonight

What I use to think it said:

'Cause this is thriller, thriller night
And no one's gonna save you from Barbra Streisand
You know it's thriller, thriller night
You're fighting for your life inside a killer, thriller tonight
