Aww wasn't that fun, a thread full of people posting song lyrics and only 3 of them got banned  *strokes chin*

Do you guys remember when people started creating fish accounts on Channel 4? The usernames were like this: > ))))'>

It started off with two fish accounts. Then more and more people started creating them. Staff weren't happy.

I was kathygale on C4 - they bopped me for using my real name... which it isn't and which they said they knew, because they could see my real name on my email.. but it 'sounded like a real name'      I'm sure they all shared the same braincell.

I got banned a few times on the Channel 4 forum for such crimes as saying "moist"..

I have been called Boppee, Angle Shades and Garden Tiger to name a few

yeah, I never really understood all the fish business.

Oh and I've only ever been me (apart from that time I borrowed an ID when I was banned - it lasted about 30 minutes!)

I remember that...they were odd people those mods.

I was banned for using the C word on a joke thread.

hehe...I did that too, once.

I borrowed my OH's ID when mine was banned (for being too frivolous, or something). That one was banned within the hour...she still hasn't forgiven me....

I've been PeterCat since I first started posting on forums (MSN Groups) in 1999.

I just asked on FB if anyone had a alt ID that I could use that they didn't mind getting trashed. I can't remember the name but it was a funny one!

I only needed it to go and tell someone how to find me on FB.


On the subject of the mods on C4, I still encounter them as they mod the official Arsenal forum. Needless to say I lurk more than post there but reading the outrage of the fms on it with the moderating it's like deja vu
