l've seen him a few times when he has been sitting on the bed after taking his legs off, he sits and rubs the stumps. He must be in discomfort, which is probably why he rests alot. I admire the fact that not once has he bottled out of any of the tasks and has participated in every one.

Agree. A rellie of mine lost his (fore) arm in an accident; the phantom pains were beyond excrutiating at times. Also, prosthetics, much as they have come a long way, can be very hard to adjust to despite being a good fit. I can imagine legs being much worse than arms for adapting to - you can (and this will sound funny) take off a prosthetic arm and still move around; not so easy where legs are concerned. And don't get me started on sores, boils, abcesses etc......All in all, it must be a nightmare for Steve.

I have been dying to post this and now I am going to.,
Steve is bloody brave IMO. Can you imagine what it must have been like as a young man to lose both limbs and an eye? At a time when all of his mates were out partying, he was in hospital having treatment and probably months and months of rehab.What would his body image have been like?
He has done bloody well IMO. He now helps others in similar situations to himself. Whether he is a successful housemate is here and there. But not once has he complained about his disabilities, He has tried at every task and excelled at the singing one which he enjoyed.
So he has not always stuck up for people... well there may be deep reasons why he did not want to get involved and we should not speculate.
He is rude, crude and sometimes a bit of a letch,.
BUT that does not detract from the fact that he ( unlike ANY of the others in there) has done something useful with his life and tried to help others,
So piffle to the entertaining HM argument. He has had a rough time and he has fought back.,

TBH I don't know why he doesn't use his wheelchair more. It's pretty daft to sit there in pain and unable to participate .............I don't think people would have thought any less of him if he'd used his wheelchair more.
I was thinking that.... if he is in pain from using the legs too much then he should just use the chair more. I dont think I've seen him use it tbh

I believe he had talked about the legs he uses as being on loan, maybe he really is desperate to have them and wanted to be seen using them. Perhaps he has overdone it or maybe he should have paced himself wearing them.
They were just talking about it on lf. Dave said if he won he wouldn't be buying legs for Steve, he's be spending it on his family.......then said someone will get them him anyway as a result of being on the programme

There's a load of folk with hand painted signs saying, " F Off Steve Ya Fat Twat ", cheering right now and looking forward to attending Fridays eviction all over again.

I wouldn't vote for him out of sympathy,.I admire his guts and determination.
Doesn't mean I have to like him.
