I don't use ad blocking software, i just manually block known ad sites in IE's security section. I can give you a list of the sites on my block list if you want.
Thanks Spider and Rexi. TBH Spider I don't trawl the net very much, I tend to stick to the same sites, but what I do use is peeing me off now. At the risk of sounding stupid here, how do I manually disable please?
Onetoo - google Super anti spyware. It's free. Download it and run it straight away. When it installs, update the files (just press the update button) then tell it to do a full scan of your computer. It's the best program around for killing the ads. AVG has some anti spyware protection but it's minimal.
When you block a person, they can no longer invite you to a private message or post to your profile wall. Replies and comments they make will be collapsed/hidden by default. Finally, you'll never receive email notifications about content they create or likes they designate for your content.
