IMO, there is no way JJ1 believes that he will see his dad again if he wins BB, so that makes his remark a cynical attempt to secure votes. Using his dead father in this way, is disgusting.

i really am at a loss to understand  why winning a failing british reality show, will aid his desire to see his departed father again.

I am really annoyed that he would use his dead father in this way. I dislike him more than ever now.

Sometimes i think that the Beckham posters on his bedroom wall are just there to cover up the detailed CVs of previous HMs that he's basing his personality in the house on and scripts of how to go about winning.

Pete had a dream his dead friend said to him apply for BB and you will win I do not think this was the same, when Dave was reading his letter out he said he wished he could speak to his father and looked upset in what he said I dont believe he was saying this to win BB and he wont regardless.

my dad died 14 years ago...........i 'see' him all the time and i've never won bb........maybe john james feels mentally he'll be in a 'better place' if he wins and it will help him be more clear,that's giving him the benefit of the doubt........sadly i think it's more a vote clincher.......and it will work

Spongee....His dad wasn't allowed to discipline him,we see the result of that,he claims the man was jealous of the relationship he had with his mum,...As much as I'd like to I can't give him the benefit of the doubt with this,it is  his latest vote clinching tactic the pathetic specimen will do or say ANYTHING to win this show...Gawd how I hate his personality with a passion.

I think he spoke those words in the context of motivation, that thinking he would even get a split second chance to see his Dad would give him the spur he needed to go for whatever he wants.

BUT......to wheel this out in the final weeks is despicable, I've been steadily going off John James and am rapidly moving towards hate, which is unusual for me with BB housemates.

I will give him the benefit of the doubt but if he keeps mentioning his dad now, he will go even further down in my estimation.
