I dread to think. All of the food crumbs in the carpet and seating, all now damp and festering.

they surely wont be able to dry that stuff out, they will have to just chuck it and replace it with new ones.

I suppose they could use a carpet cleaner and give it a day to dry out.  I think fixing the house is do-able but it would take round the clock effort, with the housemates being stuck in the task room and garden the whole time.

Their clothes may be ruined.
