Most of them did not have the courage of their convictions a few did, that is how I saw it Senora I am making no excuses for any of them with the exception of Corin I do believe she was genuinely upset and chose Jo because she kept saying she wanted to go and Sam Pepper because of his behaviour, nobody bullied anyone or intimadated them they had their choices most of them copped out especially Steve Josie and Jo IMO..
Yep, even fearless Sam Pepper the voters hero, bottled it when it came to face to face gunging!
It is very easy for intimidation to go unspoken.
Funnily enough, the thing that annoyed me most today was Corin's carry on, crying and hesitating. I expected nothing less from the rest of those creeps, cowards the lot of them.
I agree completely with Marg.

Totally spot on..
They were all a bit spineless, none of them covered themselves in glory

Oooooh me too! I was worried she was going to set a precedent and the rest of them would do the same thing in case they looked cold hearted after her display. I was waiting to go shopping, she stole shopping time.

I agree Marge. If they were intimidated it came from themselves, no one else.Reference:

I was shouting at the tv.. COME ON
As an aside, Senora Reyes' title of this thread is the quote which supposedly was said by Edmund Burke in the 18th century, but no-one has been able to find this in any of his writing.
Thanks El Loro - you have just saved me some research time.

^^^^ what Brisket said
JJ was right when he said he and Josie held all the cards, they are the power couple, Josie more by association IMO

I Know heard that a while back but it's a great quote in any case...Reference:

Absolutely brisket. You don't have to use words to intimidate.Reference: Dame Anne

That's what Jo told him, but I'm sure she was just talking about his stupid pretend relationship thing!
Don`cha just love the way that BB brings out the hyperbole in people?ã

Must have been said earlier then Blizzie it wasn't Jo he was talking to when I heard it, I think it might have been Dave the other day, it was sort of banter.

Ah, I see. i thought, at the time, that he registered that comment rather too much.It was when she was talking to them about how their relationship was affecting the whole house and trying to hint to him that his non-committal stance on it was pissing everyone off, because it just led to more and more specualtion.
I can't see how people can say one minute that the likes of Corin is'nt afraid of JJ1 and stood up to him and then say they are intimidated by him, it just does'nt make sense to me....

I agree, stonks. It might be more to do with thinking he's popular.

I think a lot of them are afraid to be up against him, because they believe him to be the favourite.Reference:

That could be true.. but that's hardly intimidation. What is going to do FFS... get a bit sulky and shouty? He's hardly going to run amok with a carving knife now is he is? I don't even think he's threatened anyone with a pow pow pow...Reference:

I didn't see that bit Blizzie and I'm narked I can't remember who he was actually talking too, it was either Dave or Sam, about 4 days ago

Spot on - and the fact that he will make that person his next target.
To be honest after the way he went on and on and on and on and on etc, at Mario for swapping for Dave can you imagine what he would be like if you nominated him AND made him wash his hair, not sure if I could put up with it for the rest of the week without decking him and being forcibly removed!

I don't think Corin is afraids of him...But i do think she's afraid of upsetting her mate Josie...Add Reply
