Interesting discussion. I loathe the BNP, I cut my grassroots political teeth in anti apartheid/anti racist actions long before I got involved with animal rights so the BNP stand for everything I hate.
But........ I do have a problem with him being banned for some spurious reason (particularly as Prince Phillip would have been prosecuted for his racist ramblings if he'd uttered them while being a member of the BNP).
The unfortunate and unpalatable fact is that the BNP won seats in a democratic election and therefore under the constitution and political convention in this country they have to be afforded the same rights and considerations as any other party.
And that includes swanning around with the Royals - an institution not renowned for inclusivity and egalitarianism (sp)
