No - they'll keep them, but they may change the nature of the tasks.

Two things to remember:

Firstly, although the competitiveness might go up a notch, S&R tasks are still tasks. An accident could potentially happen in any task, The only real qustion is whether BB playtested the spider task properly beforehand, and did a proper risk assessment.

Secondly, BB has always had to consider what they're going to do if/when Steve finally goes up. Phil Edgar-Jones was asked about this when the S&R tasks were first revealed, and his answer was that although the individual S&R tasks are planned ages in advance, they've got alternatives lined-up that Steve would be able to take part in. They may well start wheeling those less physical tasks out now...

I think the whole reason why SAR was created was to remove, or at least limit, block voting.
That's certainly a large part of it, but SAR also makes the "radar dodgers" a little more vulnerable. Rachael (i.e. the first evictee) would probably have gone up at some point, but I think Nathan would have coasted to the final week if it hadn't been for SAR. OK, no-one's had the guts to put Josie or Steve up yet, but I think they'll soon run out of alternatives: they can't keep choosing Mario as a "safe" option.
As with BB9's "Head of House", I think SAR will become increasingly important as the series progresses...
