Has the on/off ongoing relationship between John James & Josie made good viewing, or has it spoilt this series?

That's the only thing that is really annoying me - the "romance" I actually don't mind

The series really would have been a lot duller without these two. But their relationship is at a stage where it needs to change and move on, or end. They can't keep on with the duvet whispering one minute and then going off in a strop the next, it's getting really old.
