I've seen the vid Justa - a friend of mine was saying last week, that a friend of his went around town in a wheelchair on completely true purposes to see exactly what and wasnt accessible - shop-wise etc. Apparently this chap was spotted by the plod standing up at some stage and was handed an on-the-spot-fine for apparently pretending to need a wheelchair or something?? If this IS the case... then when that freak Dave is turfed out, maybe the plod should be waiting for him as there is video evidence that the bloke is a complete fraud and is totally able bodied - do we even know if he was touting for 'donations' to his crap cause???
Thats terrible....

Sorry Barmy but I think that may be a mistake on your friends part.  The majority of wheelchair users can stand up and at least walk a few steps.  Obviously I'm aware of full time 100% reliant chair users but the majority aren't.  Especially the elderly.

Chair users who can walk or stand aren't "fake" it just means that their condition means they can't walk distances or that it's dangerous and/or painful for them.

BTW I am aware you have a disabled child so I'm not trying to be arsey with you or "teach me granny how to suck eggs"   Just saying I think there may be more to that story than your friend has been told
