He's no Eugene that's for sure. Now I loved him,a "nerd" but totally lovable, not in the least "superior" and he bloody nearly won the show
There are times when - dare I say it - Mario reminds me of Eugene.
But only in the 'Embrace the Experience' kind of way.  Both seemed to wear their 'nervousness and wish to be included' badge on their sleeves.

I shall now get my bullet-proof vest on.

And Eugene NEVER overstepped the mark with his superior knowledge as far as I can recall.  He was always happy enough to explain things without patronising.

I don't know who Eugene is but Mario comes across as really creepy to me. The way he's always got himself wrapped around someone and always talking to Ben as though he's an annoying little brother... dunno I can't find anything to like about Mario at all. He always thinks he knows what BB is thinking and what's going to happen next (remember Carole?) and just like her, he's always wrong.

Der dit der dit der da ............I  agree with you. Eugene a clever man but had humour and humility .......ithink Andrew at 19 years old still has to learn that (he may or may not) ...........whatever - I'm not really bothered ......if ever there was a wasted HM - he is the one IMO.

Cosmo, you make a very compelling argument. I think Andrew is Oxbridge, it does have a tendency to do that to certain types. Noblesse Oblige turning in to plain snobbery etc...

I'm just spouting as it comes to me, Suze.

I can see Andrew turning up for a job interview, giving all his qualifications, talking about his achievements and then the Human Resources Bod asking...........

"Yeah, but can you do this job, mate"

Know what I mean?

I hear all that you're saying, Prom and I can't argue strongly as I don't really have a strong opinion.  I'm not that into Mario one way or the other.
I dunno....Mario seems to want to do the whole BB experience but I think he's
probably 5 or 6 series too late.  He often comes over as desperate to be included, liked and accepted.  I always think he lacks confidence and can't quite relax.

I think we all expected (hoped?) that he'd be a sweet type of nerd.

Yes Fairfax,It wa a great moment.Anfonees face was a picture.har har! I don't blame Eugene in the least for walking off with ÂĢ50,000 .Anthony weakly saying "I wouldna hae done that!" who cares ya muppet! Putting up with that mad Craig Coates only to lose half the dosh,I rolled about laughing.
I was outraged by that until I thought about it, then came to the decision that I'd have done the same....
stonks
over the past few days his true colours are shining through....he's too cocky all of a sudden....the little boy lost/geeky boy act has gone......i think that was his gameplan all along...pretend to be the painfully shy gawky teenager and sail through....life in the house has seen him drop his act and he's mouthing off all over the shop........perhaps he thinks we still view him as the geeky kid and won't pick up on the real andrew

Strange, he seems very relaxed to me and knows exactly how to play the game. I guess we both wait and see what happens when the real Mario stands up to be counted

Never be in any doubt that I am prepared to be totally wrong about Mario.

When it's over we can crack open a bottle and congratulate the one who called it right.
Winner pays.  (That'll be you then).

Actually, I think he's quite nasty. When he nommed Corin and gave his reason as her being shallow I had a mental double take. Excuse me but are we in this world only to show respect and appreciation for deep intellectuals? I think Corin's a lovely girl and I'd much rather be in her company than his. He was quite snidey on HL's tonight too. He's getting way too cocky and his young innocent persona is no longer fooling me. I've decided I just don't like him
Lovely post.
I don't see him as nasty though, maybe immature.
