She is full of class envy about Ben.
She has mocked him in this way a number of times previously.
Perhaps it is inverted snobbery.
She adopts an exaggerated pompous/posh voice and puts words into his mouth.
It makes her look very small minded and class-conscious.
She also becomes very angry when she does this.
I now don't believe much of what she says about Ben, because I have concluded that she dislikes him for reasons of class.
The mockery is embarrassing and hateful.
