Of course bateman.
I think it's what psychologists call transference.

Josie says she's not a horrible person... but last night she told us that she knew the best way to hurt a person.
I'm getting mixed signals from Josie.

Wish it was that simple Bateman. Sometimes its impossible to be that spiritual.

Sure. Thing is, if JJ person had said a woman had made him uncontrollably angry then one suspects there would be uproar. Perhaps I'm being unfair. Was just struck by how blithely it was accepted when Josie said it to Keeva.

Totally agree with you there.Reference:

Because it was true
But he did, did he not say it about Rachel? and then said that he hated her and that's why he wanted to have sex with her.

Don't know if he did or not - don't watch it enough. Assuming he did then yeah, that's shitty too. It also has no bearing whatsoever on Josie's behaviour. It's irrelevant.

In that case Josie needs anger management training, lol.
as always

Nah, she doesn't, and in all fairness, as you have said yourelf, you haven't been watching it enough. He's a complete and total nightmare.Reference:

In all fairness, the thrust of my comment was about Josie. JJ could be a serial killer for all I know - it's irrelevant.

Emmm, it wasn't sarcasm but, once again, hey ho.
You don't seem to believe people are responsible for their own emotions. I do. Difference of opinion, I guess.
Hitler and Tony Blair make me angry, but can I put that down to transference?
"You don't seem to believe people are responsible for their own emotions. I do. Difference of opinion, I guess. "
Bateman - yes I agree to a point, but its quite a hard thing to take responsibility for your own anger when, say, the nazis have wiped your whole family out.

Well yes, it certainly is a big difference of opinion but that's allowed. It would be beyond my mental & emotional capabilites to remain unruffled in the face of such relentless provocation and goading. In order to retain my dignity and sanity I would have to be where JJ wasn't.

Perhaps it's not being angry per se - it's acting out that anger and upon that anger that is the responsibility of the individual. Though I do believe you can train yourself to be relatively impassive except when you choose not to be.

I agree what you say about training yourself and being the ringmaster of all your emotions - I think it is possible. But some things are just too overwhelming I think, for me anyway.
Anyway, food for thought Bateman - thanks.

right where does roaring and throwing things accross the room come into this? Say for instance if one had a friend that engaged in such naughty angry things
I like her even more, she has so much patience putting up with him.. some are saying that he needs to get away from Josie when JJ has said in his own words that he can't function without her there. He is paranoid and argumentative, whilst she is jealous and insecure about things.
I would prefer them on their own mixing with the others, trouble is they like each other and stubborn plus it goes round in circles such is the marmite nature of their friendship.

She expressed a wish to distance herself from someone who follows her around starting arguments, as she doesn't like feeling angry.
Anger is a normal emotion, and can be provoked, but surely her method of dealing with that is to be admired?

i dont mind admitting this ............. but i only lose my temper when i feel a bit jellus
Gypsie - have you really got a friend like that?
Some emotions can trigger other ones off. Yes you have to control your own anger, and if that means staying away from certain people who can push you past your comfort level, then that may be necessary. Not always possibly.
What about other emotions, do you think emotions like happiness and sadnesss can be affected from someone else's mood.

I lose my temper when people are aggressive to me then laugh - its the laughing that makes me lose it, not the aggression.

I reckon some of us are more susceptible or sensitive to other peoples` emotions.

Yes, again it depends on who you choose to be around, and again thats not always possible. It is also a positive thing to be sensitive to others emotions.
