Today me and my Sister were shopping for an oufit for her to wear for my Sons wedding in August. We were laughing and joking and generally having a great time........when suddenly she stopped, looked at me and asked quite alarmingly "Oh My God.......What time is it?"....
.....the young shop girl replied "its 20 past 2".

My sister continued trying on clothes until she found the perfect outfit.

Later we went back to her house for a cuppa.We were trying on our new clothes again. After some time her husband rang her with some devastating news.

Their friend had died this afternoon after a long illness................at 20 past 2.

Thanks stonks. My sis is mostly ok......it is her husbands best mate since school.....he was only 40

About 18 years ago I was called down to the senior partner's office where I had worked for over 20 years to be told unexpectedly that I was being made redundant.

I left his office, went back upstairs to my own office to find my girlfriend at the time had at that precise moment rang me so I told her what had happened. She probably only rang me one or twice over the years at the office during working hours, and I have no doubt whatsoever that somehow she had felt that something bad had happened to me and she needed to be there for me.
