I think ITV is going downhill fast, particularly on the drama side. Apart from the soaps, they have axed almost all long running drama series. Their policy is to deliberately show series in bits and pieces on varying days or times with the intent to drive audiences away, so that they can then subsequently announce that they are axing the series due to falling numbers.

As I don't watch Coronation Street or Emmerdale, and don't follow the likes of X-factor and Britain's got talent, for all practical purposes ITV1 no longer exists for me. And Ross is hardly going to encourage me to switch back to ITV.

His radio and chat show work is cringeworthy, since he isn't as funny as he thinks. Oddly enough I quite liked his Film progs.

I agree Mark Kermode would do an excellent job. I would have liked to have seen Marilla Frostrup in the role - she was one of the other candidates for the job at the time that they went for Ross.

Ditto...although I do feel rather sorry for the Four Poofs...

I doubt if we've seem the last of them as they were in exixtence as a group before the Ross show and have done other shows. They may just follow Ross over to join him.
