I know this is a bit 'controversial'    but contrary to popular belief, you CAN unplug and wash your keyboard in warm soapy water, I have done it plenty of times, I have needed to

as  long as you let it dry out properly, there's no problems

And my screen, I use  a duster on it, or baby wipes then a duster, as & when it's needed..... sometimes when feeling ultra lazy, I wet my finger and rub the dust off that way

AND, you really don't want to know what comes out of my keyboard when I tip it upside down! 

I use screen wipes on my keyboard and dont eat food or drink whilst I am typing never had crumbs or gunk on mine ..tis spotless

I have screen wipe for the screen and a latex cover for the keypad....It gets cleaned every morning.

I very rarely clean my keyboard and generally just gently use a duster. I've never had a problem with my keyboard, including the one on my previous computer which gave me a good 10 years frequent use. Much the same with my screen.

But then I don't eat whilst at my computer and keep the drink well away. And then for my mouse, I don't need to clean it as I have something similar to this:
a mouse cover (my mother used to like stroking it because the cover would ripple under her finger )

I use wipes for the screen and a toothbrush on the keyboard...well I don't, Mr Kaytee does

I can sometimes scrape together a whole meal, from keyboard tipping.

I take the hairs out first.

I have a laptop and the keys are very sticky.
Perhaps I should clean them.

I don't have a keyboard as my computer is completely voice activated. But I clean my screen with a micro fiber cloth and plain old water.

I do it quite regularly with a can of compressed air, it's a lappy. There's not much comes out cos I tend to be a bit more carefull with this than I was with the desktop I had.  Oh, and I use screenwipes too

oh can of air??? Can you buy those? Tell me more.

Before I had the laptop I used to unplug my keyboard and clean it with the showerhead...i found I coul do hat when I had to finda way to get the tomato soup my son spilled into it out.

Hi Isadora  Yeah, you can by them from any computer shop. They cost about £5-£6 I think. It's just like an aerosol but it sprays air. You get a fine nozzle that looks like a straw with it too so you can get in all the nooks and crannies
