He would have had no chance on the task,or the one last week. So I don't believe the task is pick regardless of the nominee's.

Very true....the guy from BB said that if Steve was nominated then the task would be one that wouldn't handicap him through his disability. Foot, shot in there I think
Good point Erinp...... sort of confirms what some of us suspect, that it was *slanted*
...or perhaps they have some "Steve-friendly" tasks on stand by.... and in the event of Steve being up for eviction, they substitute it for the planned task, in the spirit of it being fair.

But Phil Edgar a director of BB has issued a statement to say the tasks are planed in advance of the noms.
but but but but he was up for nomination
all the HM's are unless they have been made immune by BB, as sometimes happens with new arrivals or task winners..
Steve wasn't up for Eviction tho

Shabby was nominated to face the public vote, she won the task and nominated Mario to replace her. Steve took part in the nominations but was himself not nominated to face the public vote. The four people nominated to face the public vote are Govan,Mario Ben,and Dave one of which will be "evicted"

the task today was for one of the 4 up for eviction to save themselves and put somebody else up
the previous day they nominated from all their HM's meaning all of them were up for potential nomination
[/pedant]
don't mind me tis just a personal bugbear that the HM's always say I am up for nomination instead of I am up for Eviction which is the correct term.. . .

For Olly:
"Worrabout me like, ahve been up fer nomination THREE times!"

yes.... and as I said... it could be that they are... but,so that Steve could have a fair crack at it they have some suitable tasks on hand as a contingency should Steve be nominated for eviction!Reference:

hahaha!yeah me too... in fact the whole family shouts "up for EVICTION" at the telly everytime a hm says up for nomination!
Ditty's right. These tasks aren't fixed. BB wouldn't make Steve do them, so they would have back up tasks.

ta for the link...
the link on that page... that takes you to the edgar jones interview confirms that they have a contingency task in case Steve is nominated.
Quote from Edgar-Jones interview
"Jones replied: "No we don't - they are planned in advance. Well before noms even happen.
"We can't sort those sort of set ups overnight. And of course there is a standby should Steve be up. We planned all the Save & Replace tasks even before we chose the housemates.""
