Perhaps the thing I found most loathsome during the night-time row,
was both Shabby and Caoimhe advising (asking/hoping) Mario to step back from Ben.
At the height of the row Ben had his arm on Mario's shoulders and Mario had his arm round Ben's waist.
Shabby commented on this, and suggested he should step away from his in future - both physycally and emotionally.  And later Caoimhe too said a similar thing to Mario.
I don't think for one moment that Mario will heed this "advice", - he is too loyal for that - but it struck me as pretty unpleasant that Shabby and Caoimhe should suggest that.
Trying to further isolate Ben. I presume so that they will find him an easier target when unsupported.
Well how dare they?! How dare they. Desparate measures

I feel that those two have been determined since entering the house to split the housemates. The more people they can get on their side the better, and they have seized this opportunity to bring Mario to their way of thinking - hopefullly it won't work.
They have no interest in anyone else except themselves - unless they seem willing to be taken over to the "dark side" with them!!

Ben and Mario then went into the bedroom to comfort an upset John James, and went on to explain their distrust of Govan. Ben said: "He's playing games again, running around from person to person". When asked by John James if he actually saw anything, Mario said: "Personally I didn't, it's just a feeling I get about him".
Ben finished by saying, "Just be careful and don't trust him", with Mario adding, "I never know where I stand with him".

The difference I find in Ben and Shabby, the two main players in last night's row is this.  Ben is full of soul searching this morning, he has been in the diary room and he has said he should not have bitched and he regrets acting unwisely.  He is feeling very hurt.  Shabby on the other hand is completely unconcerned, this seems to me to be her normal way of carrying on.  Her group seem to be trying to split Ben's supporters and leave him isolated. And Goven is trying to earwig to find out all he can from the other group.   I know which group I would sooner spend time with, I admire Ben and I find Shabby to be a nasty unprincipled witch.

several times ben has said unwise things that have caused upset, he then apologises, but an apology doesn't alter the fact that he says them, n doubt he will do it again and apologise again....
And shabby?  Or is she safe from comments because this is her whole personality, bitching, twisting things which are not mean offensively but taken as being solely for that purpose,  not just an unwise remark from a basically nice and supportive person?

this morning I have heard both Ben and Shabby saying they felt bad about last night

Ben said he felt bad he was  caught  out being the snake he was being [his words not mine]

Shabby felt bad that she shouted she didn't like Ben in his face. . but then giggled about it after

Both of them are of similar character ..both are petulant and both are overly dramatic.. and both throw tantrums

but both  can't see this at all. .

and neither can their supporters ..

I agree on both these points, and whatever the rights and wrongs of the argument, Shabby's only concern, IMO, is to protect herself from the shock of getting nominated! After all... as she intimated last week..... in her opinion, there are lots of people in the house that should go before her!

This situation is reminding me, more and more, of the Freddie/Lisa situation, last year.

I felt sorry for Freddie, until he started trying to play the numbers game against Lisa and made himself look a total arse.

As for Ben and Mario, I do find it a bit sad how Ben puts his arm around Mario for support during his 'discussions' with Shabby etc.
And the way he called Dave over, as well, at the end of the discussion, so that he could be escorted either side by the chaps, as he made his way to the boudoir, was hilarious!

I don't know anything about last night's row...not read the LUT yet, but I find Caiomhe and Ife a pair of witches as well.
Shabby is me, me, me, and has to be the centre of any attention going. She is hamming it up to the max, no matter what the outcome she doesn't give a flying one as long as the airtime is hers. Unfortunately, as the viewing public generally only see the edited HLs version of Shabby, it would seem that others will go before her and it would be nice if that did happen that it could be Nathan, Caiomhe or Ife, who contribute very little to the show
