In the first few days, I found Sunshine really irritating - all that weeping and wailing over verrucagate was completely OTT.
However, she seems to have settled down in recent days, and she hasn't annoyed me at all.
I do think she has played up to the cameras and I am not convinced that her ditsy, childlike behaviour is genuine. Time will tell.

Small things are blown up big in this show because of the claustrophobic atmosphere, the pressure of being on TV etc.  This has been well known about Big Brother for years.  People like to see HMs go through emotions anyway, without that there would be no show.  You will see that most winners have had bad times in the house, Sophie last year is an example of course.

I also think people greatly exaggerate sometimes the downs of characters on the show that they don't like.  She is one of the most fun people in there, they just don't bother showing it on the HLs.  The HLs inevitably will focus on dramas more.  And dramas when bitching is done about someone or they have pre-eviction nerves etc will be shown on the HLs.  They intentionally try and create problems as well, sometimes giving out treats which aren't equal for all HMs for example.

Also all the HMs are aware of the cameras, they can see the cameramen sometimes as well.  Again I think people do selective judgements v HMs who are not their favourites.  Corin who seems to be made into a kind of saint was acting up to the cameras the other day when acted like a wheelbarrow and was pushed along by someone.  Maybe some bother less with having fun and being entertaining than some others, maybe Nathan....but that is exactly why people find him boring.

Ditto Yogi I think Shabbygate has taken the spotlight off her for the time being..... and the baitchiness  of Ife & Caoihme  have put her down my list of grrrrrrrs for the time being.  But for me Josie & Corin are streaks ahead of any of the women in the house...

I agree.  The audience for BB has declined in recent years though and I wonder if that might be because people are frustrated that characters go too early in the show too often.  A vote to save would mean more people would care about who actually wins the show at the end, instead of it being just a contest about who is the least hated by the final vote.

The manipulation is more about spreading the hate for people than the other way round.

Yogi, I feel exactly the same. Time, indeed will tell.
