For those who are interested in how to pronounce Irish words, have a look at this link to a quick guide

Taking Caoimhe as an example, from the guide we get this:
The C is pronounced K
The AO is what is called a long dipthong (their word, not mine ) and is pronounced EE as in tree.
The I is pronounced as is pick. Of course putting EE and I next together virtually makes the I vanish.
The .MH is an aspirated consonant and is similar to BH - both being pronounced V. (That' why NIAMH sounds like NEEV though from the list it is closer to NURV)
The E is pronounced as in peck (a short E).
That's how we get KEEV-(short) E
