By you helpfull peeps I had some skin tags taken of my neck before Christmas where they numbed my neck and burnt them off. Since the sunny/hot weather one side of my neck has become very hot and itchy despite me putting cream on for a couple of weeks. What I want to know is, do I make an appt at the docs or will it settle down?

It could be a version of thrush onetoo... I've had that happen around my neck in hot weather... it's a bacterial infection so I'd get off to see a doc anyway... it is cleared up really quick!
I usually get in touch with my surgery triage nurse or NHS direct if I'm worried Pam
...erm... sorry Pam... luv Pam xx ...

Good Pam... wish I could remember the name of the cream I was given... could it be Canestan? You can get it over the counter now, so if that's easier talk to the pharmacist. Luv Pam!

Ok, I'll try that with the chemist first then
I did the same thing as you I think... put moisturiser on to sooth it... that is the wrong thing to do I think... it seems it seals the bacteria in so they multiply. Try and wash it and keep it as dry as you can until you get it looked at.

Go to the docs, that's what he's there for...
That's what I'd do. I've had skin tags removed from my neck too (bloody nips doesn't it?) Fortunately I've never had the same prob as you but it's my guess it's not uncommon and easily remedied with the right advice/treatment ......go back to the doctor.

Bloody Hell!!!!!!!!! Mine didn't bleed thankfully ..............I just had lots of small ones - apparently they occur when you've either put on or lost lots of weight. I have to say this was quite a few years ago and .........they've not made a reappearance so take heart from that.
Make the appointment .... Imo, it's always best to be on the safe side & it'll put your mind at ease once you've had it checked over by a professional
