According to this article they always have been at war.

If they can't difuse this situation,It'll be war which will have a serious impact on the world.Lets hope Russia and China don't get involved or USA and GB.
The last time these two were properly at war, they didn't have nukes. The only consolation this time is, being next door, they wouldn't dare nuke each other for fear of frying their own people with the fallout.
Let's just hope if America gets involved, we're not persuaded to join in.

China are the only country who can do anything about North Korea.I hope they do get involved before things escalate!
Just sabre rattling. North Korea would never go into a war against the South now, knowing fine well they would have their asses kicked by USA.
Hmm and there I was thinking about choosing S.Korea as my destination to teach English to school children *consults Atlas for other countries*

I don't think GB would get involved in any capacity other than as peacekeepers or diplomacy as I don't think we have any historic connection and S/N Korea have little to do with any UK terrorism threat.
True enough, Loro, but that didn't stop us getting involved last time.
By an odd coincidence, I've just read a story in my local paper about a man who has just received the Elizabeth Cross to commemorate his brother's death in the Korean War in January 1952. His brother was killed in action with the Welch Regiment, aged 21.

I'm sure I recall seeing a bit in the paper about how this is more about a power struggle within the North rather than an external dispute. However it's up to the Chinese to rein 'em in, and the rest of us to pray that they don't qualify for the next World Cup round and play each other.
I was scared this might happen when I saw it on the news
