My mum brought my new baby sister home, after ten days in hospital, on my seventh birthday.

awww. My hubby (who's not v romantic) bought me as near a copy of my wedding ring as he could for one birthday - my original had been stolen 5 yrs before and we just got a cheap one at the time.And it was a surprise.

totally materialistic.....

a pair of simple diamond stud earrings from my parents (they got them for me in New York).

I wore them all the time for about 3 years.... and then stupidly took them out ONCE without putting them away...  leaving them on the mantlepiece...  and when I went to put them back in one was missing.

I have had the whole fire place out... & have cleaned all the back bit (gross cobwebby place)... & had my head halfway up the chimney looking for it.

I put the other one away somewhere safe...   & I can't find that one either now (cos I can't remember where I put it)

One day I will have another pair ....  one day!

Mini..he was born on my 12th wedding anniversary....

Wow. I havn't heard about carrom boards since I was a child. We used to love playing that game. We were only allowed though after the grown ups had finished.We didn't buy them though, my uncle made us one it was beautifully polished, different coloured woods.

Wow.  Very talented Uncle. 

Mine is use almost every day by me and my nieces.  They all love the game.
