Why is the BBC Weather showing the forecast from around the world!?

N.America, all of Europe, New Zealand and Australia have all been shown

I mean, thanks for telling us....but did we need to know?

I'm on another Forum that has members from around the world and believe it or not they actually watch BBC newsclips and maybe even the weather reports, which isn't good in parts of the US. NZ and Oz from what I've read from their posts

The late night BBC forecast has been showing the world details for years. Besides Yellow Rose's point, people in the UK may be going abroad in the next few days or they may have friends and family abroad and so may be interested in the details.
