I popped a little x in the box, signed and gave my date of birth, popped it in an envelope, then popped it in another envelope and then popped it in the postbox. A lot of popping was going on.

I do hope it arrives in time.

Haven't been yet - I start work at 8.30 and didn't have time. But I finish early at 3pm, so I'll vote on my way home, along with a few other errands.

I was just remembering my first vote this back in '83 and how we convinced friend her vote wouldn't coun t cos she'd put a tick and not a cross...she was distraught....

I've not been yet...I will probably walk the dog down shortly.

I walked down to vote at about 7.30. The weather is one of those non-descript overcast days, not particularly windy, not particularly cold or warm, not raining, not particularly doing anything. The polling booth has been moved from a local school to the local rugby club. That means you either have to via the car park entrance trying to avoid cars coming and going, or walking acoss the whole of the playing field. I bit the bullet, and ballotted. On the way out I met a neighbour, and after he did the deed, he gave me a lift back home, which considering it's only a five minute walk didn't take long. But then he's an ambulance driver who had just finished a 13 hour shift and wanted to go straight to bed!

Dull day here, been and voted with my mother. We're not speaking now cos she voted BNP Actually she was telling me in front of everyone standing in the queue that she'd ticked the right box for our Labour candidate, so all and sundry know her vote

Cycled down in the rain with Mrs Joe. Only saw four other voters. The Police walked in whilst we voted. I said, "Are you expecting trouble Officer?" He replied, " The BNP are having a small rally shortly!" Of course I bit!  
Damned police and  their sense of humour! 

Mr Baz and I have just been down the road to our polling station and voted. Mind you, Mr B took an awful long time to put his X in the box..... don't know why, cos I told him what he was voting before we went Actually, this will be the first time we have voted the same

Drove down to the Polling Station (school) with youngest son.
Saw four Labour supporters, one Conservative and one LibDem, all wearing the obligatory rosettes. They all smiled and wished us a "Good afternoon".
We cast our votes, went to the shops and drove home again.
Very uneventful.

Just back! The labour candidate outside tried to get my daughter onside by offering to watch her baby annabell and pram outside while we voted. Unfortunately she is 2 but she did post my vote in the box for me

A beautiful sunny day with blue skies. As I babysit my two year old grandson on Thursday mornings we spent about thirty minutes at the blackboard practising our 'X'. We then set off through the village to make our cross (or kiss as he prefers to call it) for Gordon. he had his own pen and piece of paper and came into the booth with me before posting both my slips in the respective boxes (we have locals here too). lots of folk about - looks like it'll be a good turn out

Voted Labour but  I should have done the tactical vote and voted Lib Dem to stop the Tories getting back in, as I dont think Labour has any chance of winning here were I live .. fingers crossed I am wrong....

I still can't get used to seeing this that way round...  I usually want to vote lib dem, but have to tactically vote labour...

I'll be voting lib dem later Marge... not that it will make a bit of difference...  the rest of the villagers are apparently all Tory.

Years ago I voted tactically and felt tainted .....at the end of the day it didn't work anyway. I think you should go with your heart and vote for who you want. I think you did right.

On my way home I was thinking I have voted with my heart not my head lol it just would not have felt right puting that cross anywhere except in the labour box although I cant see them winning here were I live

Awww... well lots of folk seem to have voted round my way! Just got back and they were having to stuff the papers down into the box with a ballot box slot-shaped stick to make sure there is room for more! And they said it had got incredibly busy in the last hour... in fact I had to queue to get my ballot papers! Quite reassuring... at least maybe the turn-out can restore my faith in politics again!
