It's 2.45 in the afternoon and the place is deserted. Apart from myself, there are precisely 4 other members logged on at present. For this time of day, this must be some sort of record!

Sorry but I feel myself drifting
I don't want to but I just feel that there is no fun here anymore , no one about to chat with and no threads that I feel like commenting on so I have started *gasp* not coming on for a few days at a time hoping if I leave it for a bit then I might have more to read or say

Oh Arwen.... I do know how that feels...
I didn't really post on here at all for a few months, and its only the last couple of weeks that I have again...
If you wanna talk about sommat.... anything... and you see me in a thread (even if it is a very serious political thread - which is unlikely ) just go "Oiy" at me.... and have a waffle about whatever you wanna waffle about!!
I will waffle back! guaranteed!
Even start a thread called "I need to waffle...." or "Arwen needs you...." or something... I will be there!

Hi Baz
And I'm back on what looks as if its going to be a wet afternoon, evening and night.
Yes, I enjoy these forums. It can be a bit quiet at times, but what I enjoy is the variety varying from serious to crazy - so something to suit whatever mood I'm in.
Recently, I've become involved in keeping out church website up to date. Oddly enough, the process involved is virtually identical to this forum which made the learning curve very short. But I don't think I can post anything from this forum on our church website as the vicar has to sanction everything before it is posted. This restricts me to little more than saying whats on at church during the coming week. He is also insisting on remaining on dial up connection. So for instance when I suggested posting the BBC news item with video clip on the man who sculpted a church, just down the road from us, in a grain of sand, that met with a complete lack of interest, because of his insistence on checking everything and it would take ages for him to be able to see it on dial up.

Hey there Yogi Hope you are having a good Saturday.
I'm having a quiet day Baz. Hubby is at a "do" with work colleagues, middle son is at a Thai Boxing event (his friend competes) and youngest son is working. My daughter-in-law is working and my eldest has been at the garden centre, spending a fortune by the sounds of it. Reference:

LOL. I have made a promise to our bank account NOT to go near the garden centre this weekend... we have already spent too muchReference:

I always go with the intention of "browsing" and come back with lots.
Me three I like the buzz when there are lots of people around, but I also like it when it is quiet, and I can catch up on some of the threads I've missed, and get the chance to *meet* FM's I haven't *spoken* to before..... In short.... I like it here

Same here
I agree Baz. One of the benefits of the quiet times is that you can get to "know" posters you may not have chatted with before. In recent weeks, I have been posting with Ozzy, who is lovely - but we only got chatting because the forum was really quiet one day. In fact, we might have been the only two here.
Off to do some cooking, be back later Baz.

Thanks ditty
Or.... you could always come and see us in the bar....link = Sinking Ship Bar
all are welcome... its quiet sometimes... hectic at others... sometimes we talk about nothing, sometimes we are a bit silly... sometimes we talk about serious stuff...
you (or anyone else) is welcome anytime you wanna chinwag
I only really started posting for the first time this year a few weeks ago (for all kinds of reasons) I've been here most of the day as my entire family has gone to the in-laws for the day and night. I'm at home finishing a report (hahaha).
aahhhh... you are alone!!! Suzy... proper alone time. No demands... you are master of your own day!
Bloody lovely when it happens innit?
Don't feel guilty if it ends up being the least productive 24 hours ever... enjoy it as unproductive indulgent you time!

I don't do guilt ditty (can't to smileys atm but I'm smiling). I type about a page then I fanny about here and facebook. It's so nice....no telly all day, no wii/x-box noise, and no tripping over mini prams and dollies. They need to be back tomorrow though, I'm starting to yearn!
lol.... I know the yearn.... it wears off approximately 20 seconds after you see them... when the first spillage, chat back, squabble, demand for food, demand for entertainment etc starts!
