That's it, box ticked and put in the envelope. I can't see any major policy changes happening in the next few days so might as well get it over with. Have the rest of you made your minds up yet or are you still debating?

I'm voting on the day Queenie, my minds made up and it's never wavered for months even in the bad times
I'm pretty much the same as you Dame, it would have taken something really radical to sway my vote. Postal voting is easier but it does leave you feeling like you're missing out on something by not going to the polling station.

I'll not leave the sinking ship until I'm pushed Queenie, I just can't see it being any better if I changed my vote, in fact I'm dreading the outcome to be honest. I've not bothered doing a postal vote because my mum needs me to take her to the polling station, and even at her age her vote is a must
I have never wavered I will still be voting labour

Especially at her age, Dame. All the parties could do with being taught a lesson by older voters, who get left out of their policies.Reference:

So very true Demantoid
I'll voting on the day, and this time will be taking my daughter round to vote for the first time. I'll be voting like my Dad used to and his Dad before him and so on for the Labour Party.
I will only be voting if I can get home in time after my viva at uni. I meant to arrange a postal vote and completely forgot
I hope you manage to get your vote in Trixy and good luck with your viva.
I put mine in the pillar box about an hour ago.

aww that's lovely....I can't wait to go with one of my kids. I'm begining to have fairly grown up conversations with my 11 and 9 year olds, and it's lovely to hear their budding political opinions.
I am voting for the person who has served as a capable MP in my constituency for years. He is a Liberal-Democrat.

I'm waiting for the actual polling day, although I'm 99% certain who I'm going to vote for now.
Ours have been posted two for Labour from our house

I'm a virgin, so this is gonna be my first time so not really sure what to do on the day. I don't want to make it obvious that I'm a virgin, so what do you do?
It's dead easy Crunchy.
You turn up at the polling station. Give 'em your card.
They give you a voting paper. You pop in a little booth (you can't miss 'em)
Look carefull at the paper and put your cross where you want to vote.
Then fold it and put it in the box provided.
It really is simple. Nothing to worry about.

yes Queenie I am registered, I just dont follow politics closely enough to know all the facts and therefore make an educated decision i know I should, but from what I have seen I really dont know what to do i wanted to watch all the debates but as my OH is a Liverpool fan, the footie has been on for the last two

i have to add though - no way can i bring myself to vote tory - i am not a fan of fox hunting like so many of them - and i dont believe all that crap about it not being one of their priorities to lift the ban
You'd think they'd have a more 21st century way of doing it now wouldn't you? Imagine sorting all those pieces of paper

I still haven't got a polling card, surely it should be here by now
Me neither Soops! I'm ringing them up to check I'm registered on Tuesday. I may cry if I'm not...... this is my son's first vote. He'll be devastated if he misses out.
I wish i could have more interest in politics, but sadly, hearing all the under-handed claims for expenses, and the futile excuses given for ripping off the tax payers, it is my view that who ever gets in will continue to run the country for their own benefits.. They are all high paid indivduals trying to hang on to their own jobs.
I know what I'm hoping the result will be but listening to all the Polls I'm feeling very disheartened. Whoever gets elected it's a very tough time ahead, but having read the Manifestos personally I feel it will be tougher with one party more than another, just my opinion

Me too YR, if we think it's been tough this last couple of years, god help us for the next 5 IMO.
I went to the Post Office yesterday and the old lady in front of me was picking up her pension, she'd tried to use the same card twice and the assistant said she was sorry but she couldn't have the money twice. The ols lady turned around and said I wouldn't want it twice, we're well looked after now!.... I just wonder how long before pensioners go back to being worse off
Wow, that's amazing Dame! Pensioners had been neglected for so long, and now they're (mostly) all probably dreading a return to the "who gives a toss" 1980s.

Reference: Ducky
Me neither Soops! I'm ringing them up to check I'm registered on Tuesday
Mine has arrived this morning Ducky. It says: You can apply to vote by post. Your completed application must be received by Tuesday 20th April...Due to the short statutory timeframe for this election you may not receive this poll call until after the closing date for postal applications. Unfortunately this is outside of our control....This card is for info only. You can vote without it but it will save time if you take it to the polling station and show it to the clerk.Out of their control Sounds to me that it says a lot about the efficiency of our district councils Ducky...So if you don't get a card you're probably still on their list at the polling station?
