I know that some of my top-right colleagues have attended gigs. I want to go to a concert in Hall One. Does anyone have any preference as to which level? I haven't been before.

GJ, I'd go for level 1, somewhere near the front if you want to actually 'see' as well as 'hear'...and, top tip, don't eat there!
Thanks! Level one is almost full and I wondered about sitting on the front row of level 2.

That might be a good idea if your only option is right at the back of level 1 GJ....We had to settle for there when getting last min tickets for Madeline Peyroux and couldn't see a thing (mind you given what a sight she looked maybe that wasn't a bad thing- she was dressed like she was doing a shift on the bin van!) Was hoping to go to see Joan Armourplating there but the date hasn't worked out,...if that's who you're off to see, I'm jealous!

I doubt that many people on here will be jealous. I'm gwine to see Dweezil and his mates knock out a few of his Dad's sing-a-long songs.
The Sage looks a good venue - I had a quick peek when I was in Newcastle a couple of years ago - but I haven't been to a concert there.
I'm going to Colston Hall in Bristol tomorrow night, to see Rufus Wainwright. Really looking forward to it.

I envy you.Joe, I'm glad you've booked. I would faff about being indecisive and then miss the chance.
Hope you will be pleased with seats and enjoy the concert.

I have been faffing about for a couple of weeks.
You can't afford to faff about when it's Rufus. Always sells out really quickly. This will be the fourth time I've seen him
