Did you see that picture of Alex Higgins in the papers last week Poor fella-- i used to love watching him play--- He was the most entertaining snooker player i have ever seen..
Hi Real (my answer is delayed I'm afraid.)
I saw a short film of Higgins and a few other veterans during the snooker coverage yesterday.
I was amazed by Alex Higgins' appearance. He looked incredibly thin and very frail.
Quite a shock.

Come on Dott.. make it 9 all
Robertson 10 Dott 8
If they keep this pace of play up they're not going to be finished this session before the next session is due to start!
Robertson 11-8 now!
OMG Alex Higgins - wot a change - i like to remeber him in full flow
One of the 'angry' men who hustled and changed things/
I don't particularly like that personality but it was definitely intersting - never a dull moment

Fluffy, it`s been ages..good to see you.
Hi Scotty,
I'm almost always around somewhere, just not always in the same place at the same time. Admitedly a bit less often these days.

Hi again Fluffy If we had the last post thingy that we had before, I`d be able to track you down to annoy you. It`s good to see you around again..hopefully you`ll be here more for the last BB. We can do our twitter and LF again with Mrs H.

It's amazing Alex Higgins is still here - he has certainly has his share of troubles.
I agree - a great talent and true entertainment in his day.
Whilst on the subject of players of old, my brother very kindly reminded me earlier today that I used to have a crush on Tony Knowles when I was younger - something I had forgotten all about - oh dear
l
It certainly is a slow game today and both players missing seemingly "easy"pots - nerves probably.
I hope Dott can pull a few frames back.

Honours even at mid-session. What will the next part have in store?

.....and perfectly flicked! Good God what did I ever see in him?
My only excuse is that I was about 12 years old at the time.....

I bet you`ve still got posters in your cupboard.
Robertson 12 Dott 9
That was an unlucky break for Dott but he recovered well
The first century in this years final goes to Dott!
Robertson 12 Dott 10
Robertson 12 Dott 10
A potential 13 frames in tonight's session!
Next session's scheduled for 8pm.
Quick bite to eat, hot drink, wash hair, but not necessarily in that order.

I'm torn who i want to win, it would be nice for robertson though looks like it's going to be a late night tonight
It would do the game some good to have an international winner for a change.
According to digiguide they've only scheduled the last session of snooker from 8 to 11 pm. A bit optimistic I'd say.
I'm not expecting a finish much before 2am.
However, if they started bang on eight and averaged half an hour per frame and Robertson won the next six frames in a row, then they might just finish by eleven. However, given how they've been playing so far, I really don't see that as very likely.... do you?

No Fluffy and It`s quite a slow match. Then again, Dott could win the next six frames in a row.

True, but he'd still need another two again to win the match.
10 o'clock and they've only played 4 frames. Robertson 14, Dott 12.
Robertson still needs 4 and Dott needs 6. I think we've still got a long way to go.

One of the least entertaining finals.
Anyone got any matchsticks think we need ronnie to come out and play a few frames for them can't see this finishing till well after midnight
If they take over 20 seconds per shot they should receive an mild electric shock like the ones used in big brother tasks.
did you see Robertson this afternoon, he took 4 1/2 minutes to decide what to do and then put Dott back in
This frame has been going for 43 minutes and still counting do you think they will be still playing when i get up in the morning if i go to bed now?
Phew, there's still only two frames between them!!!
Bedtime for me. I would stay up but things to do on the morrow. Enjoy the rest of the final.
I think I'm begining tolose the will to live!
Sorry I couldn't be on line to watch it with you.
But I pretty much felt as you all did - not the most stimulating of matches.
Probably a good result for snooker.
