This business of John Stape getting a teaching job in Rochdale. (Maybe he'll turn up in Waterloo Road) It's a non starter for us. Turtelly unbelievable on every level. Normally I would say it's the worst idea for years but that surely belongs to the script editors of Neighbours and their silly Toadie and Steph idea.

Yes, a totally, sorry, turtelly, ridiculous, unbelievable story-line. Why do they do it? Do I win the award for the most commas?
So far, yes!
Is, this, the, bloke, who, had, an, affair, with, a, student, and, then, kidnapped, her, and, kept, her, locked, up, in, a, house, for, ages, and, then, went, to, prison?
I do hope there is a prize for this game?

I think its a foolproof idea from John, I mean what could possibly go wrong?!
I don't watch corrie (despite my apparent encyclopedic knowledge of John's past ).......so what's he up to now then?

If you really want to know After imprisoning a girl he went to prison himself. He's now out, but obviously can't teach anymore. He loves teaching so is going to apply for a job using fake ID. Clear? Lol.He reckons it's not wrong - eh fraud surely??

I don't watch Neighbours either but Steph slept with Libby's husband Dan who has since left due to their failing marriage, Steph is now pregnant and because Libby had slept with Lucas who she really likes, Toadie has been convinced by Steph to act as a couple again to try and prevent Lucas from finding out about it all. Toadie also has some random girlfriend called Sonya to make matters worse.
About Corrie John, Fiz and Chesney should leave along with Molly, Sean and the Windasses.

I can't past the third line in that paragraph without getting dizzy, Darlo. Anyway... Corrie.. .what a disappointment. I wanted to John and Fizz to live happily ever after, but the man's a raving nutjob after all - and it is a poor, poor storyline, yeah.
I was also hoping John and Fizz would have a happy ending so yes it's disappointing they're writing this storyline for him. If he's to be written out in the future maybe this is the only storyline that could eventually bring it about.
I love Graham's character Corrie has more humour than the other soaps

Agree, Yellow Rose.
Graham's a star, and far too good for stupid 'Rerseh'.
As for the John Stape fiasco, just as well stupidity isn't a jailable offence.

That is true and Corrie will never be beaten for that but the other soaps do different things and just don't rely on the humour all the time, however when Corrie do the serious stuff it is actually quite good and more interesting to watch.Btw Soozy if you see it Lucas is Dan Fitzgerald's brother forgot to put it.

some of the Northern dialects get my attention as they're so different for my Southern ears lol. I always notice that Audrey ends words with an "aay" or "eh" sound that Southerners don't have. Ashleigh often says "ickle" for little. I used to have an online friend from Lancashire that said ickle for little, the first time she said it I didn't get what she meant lol, and the other day on tv someone said lickle for little so I guess the word little is spelt differently in some parts Reference: Darlo

The mix of serious and humour is one of the reasons I like Corrie I always watch EE as well which is usually serious, strange really because real Eastenders- those that live in East End of London - are not known for being serious, more Jack the Lads, happy go lucky types with a good sense of humour. I don't mind watching serious or heavy stuff but it's nice to also suddenly find yourself laughing at something someone in Corrie comes out with. some of the Northern dialects get my attention as they're so different for my Southern ears lol. Ahhhh, you'd love my accent then, as Boltonian as it gets I'm afraid...
I don't think Lucas actually slept with Steph as her and Toadie were going to say the baby was her exes (until Summer turned up and stopped that idea). WHy sisn't she just say she had a random one night stand before she got with Lucas? He couldn't say anything as he'd only just split up with Elle (who he got over almost as fast as he learned to walk again!!!).
I don't like Lucas's character, he's a miserable git, self-pitying and droll. I know I should be feeling sorry for him at the moment but I can't because I don't like him.
As if Toadie and Stef would've made up a plan like that and upset lots of people (Sonia, Lucas etc) when Steph could've just said she didn't know who the Father was.
Saying that, the one thing I do like about Neighbours is that they don't drag the storylines on for agessssssss.....
