In her book, Dear Fatty, Dawn spoke of Lenny with such love and admiration, it's just so sad they couldn't make it work.

Dawn might still do that. Her mum lives down here and Dawn always wanted to end her days here.  

Aside from that, I also think it's sad, but she might have left herself open to some ridicule because of the way she defended their lifestyle.

GJ, if you mean Jerusalem, it's as far from a Cornish village as Doc Martin. I have, however, met the spitting image of Keith Floyd in Port Isaac working in a fish restaurant equally as flamboyant and flirty and loving his wine.

I've never seen Jam and Jerusalem. Caught a bit of Vicar of Dibley once - what a load of unfunny crap. Especially that blonde one who has made a career out of impersonating people with learning disabilities.

I agree with you about the Vicar of Dibley - I think it was one of the most over rated and unfunny so called comedies ever.  I've never found anything remotely funny or likeable about Dawn French.

Fat women ARE funny.

I'm flipping hilarious. 

I fully endorse Dawn French's right to be as fat as she likes. But (even though I'm no Kate Moss) I've always disliked the way she puts down thin women, and constantly bangs on about how fat women are sexier.
How would she like it if skinny women were as disparaging of her?
