1.17 GBP per bottle!? A bargain in anyone's book. If you had walked straight on you would have found 3 bottles of Hen for 5GBP and more cider than you can shake a stick at. Alas someone bought all the bottles of Jacobs Creek sparkling chardonnay PDQ!   :hic:

How dare they?
The catholic church have spent forever preaching about guilt.
Telling their followers that they are less than adequate, unworthy and full of guilt.
If the followers do not feel guilty, then they should says the church.
These very preachers (who both pity and condemn their guilty followers) are the guilty ones. (Not all obviously.)

But those who tell others they are guilty are themselves the guilty ones. The sexual abuse saga (sometimes deliberately hidden for decades) is appalling.

They have lied, denied, cheated and hidden their guilty secrets.
What hypocrisy!
How very dare they tell others about guilt. How dare they continue to pretend to have any authority.
I am a non-religious person. But only a smidgeon of imagination is enough to tell me that
the powers-that-be within the catholic church lecturing others about guilt is a farce and as hypocritical as one can get.

See yesterday's BBC article about the Pope at least starting to recognise that penance is required. However it doesn't help matters when that Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone said on Monday (also referred to in the article) that it was homosexuality - not the Church's celibacy - which lay behind the abuse of minors. I find that offensive rubbish and should be condemned by everyone as such (and I'm speaking as a straight man).
