Thing about Vanessa is that we donât know how often Wayne Bridge does or doesnât see his son or how much heâs paying for his son. If he doesnât see him very often then youâd have to say shame on him. We also don't know how much access he's been given or if it's only at set times.
The Courts will decide what is a fitting amount for his son but letâs be frank here, why is it just Wayneâs responsibility to provide for the little lad? Vanessa may have been a lingerie model but I doubt sheâs worked in quite some time. Whatâs wrong with her going back to work and contributing for the upkeep of herself and Jaden? Girls like her who âbagâ a footballer see it as a licence not to work and even when the relationship falterâs they still expect to be kept in the same standard to what theyâve become accustomed to.
Some men see paying for their child as also paying for the mother and with some of the settlements given in court itâs hard not to see why they are aggrieved. Conversely, we have mothers who give everything they have and work all the hours they can because some scumbag father wonât pay. This deprives the child of both mother and father and that's not fair either.
Obviously Wayne can afford to ensure his son lives in a nice home and has access to good schooling etc., but it should be a shared responsibility with Vanessa. If she is staying at home and looking after him (without the aid of a nanny) until he's in full time school then fair enough he should pay a little bit more to ensure that Vanessa doesn't have to worry financially.
