Scotty  I tried to find certain blogs Scotty goodness knows were they have ended up ..if anywhere,I havent seen that thread either Scotty I will have a nose around

We appear to have a problem also with posting pictures. We can't see them in the 'Threadkillers'   Just a heads up Lori and co 

Marguerita  It`s all a bit complicated. I`m struggling to find stuff too.
I`m able to see the videos now so that`s good. I hope others can as well.

I've just posted a pic in Threadkillers..........it posted ok, but within a minute it's disappeared     (Chrome browser)

sprout, I`ve gone back to IE..things are working better for me than they were with chrome.

I have found it very slow opening a pages  had Internal error a few times I have just gotten back in..

I've been locked out quite a few times tonight...... internal server error..... last time was about 23.30.........

It has taken me 2 hours to get in here tonight. Kept coming up with internal server error.

Hello Crispy. Yes rather unfortunate timing. We've just had a make-over/upgrade and it always throws up a few glitches.

Sorry, I didn't see this last night. I've just tried to post a pic again using Chrome. It's not even copying and pasting for me now. I'll try IE in a bit. I have to open up Photobucket there

Is there a place that lists the Channels, although they are Hoopla's now.....I was looking for a way to get to the Ship...without waving semaphore flags in the hope that someone saw them?

Haven't been in this area for quite some time, have come in to check if it's any nearer for us IE users to have the problem of not being able to quote fixed, it would be helpful

I would like to echo what Yellow Rose has just said.
If quoting was enabled on Internet Explorer many people on the GaGa forum would be very happy.
I don't wish to pester you, but it does seem to be taking quite a time to fix this.

I can no longer quote on Firefox...used to ...hummph!

The method we used before the recent change no longer works, but you still can quote in Firefox. What you have to do is first open the Post Reply box, secondly highlight the text you want to quote from, thirdly return to the open Post Reply box and click on the quote icon (the one with 2 quote upside-down commas which is near the right end row of icons). It's messier then the old method as it potentially involves 3 scrolling movements instead of 1.

And as an alternative to typing the user's name next to reference, you can drag their avatar there as I've done here.

This is a copy of a thread I've just created:

As you know, there are problems with either not being able to quote in replies at all, or having to open the reply box, then scroll back to the text you want to quote and highlight, then scroll back to the reply box and click on the quote icon, which can be a bit of a hassle. I thought I would ask on the Social Strata help forum pages what was being done and I have had a reply from Brian Lenz, one of their software engineers.

This is a copy of his reply:

I can't give any promises as far as a date of the next release, but I would anticipate it to be some time in the next month or two.

There won't be any highlighting of text in the new model.  Instead, you'll essentially be clicking a flag/checkbox of some sort next to each post to indicate that you want to quote it.  You will be able to select multiple messages, and then when you click reply, it will include all of the text from all of those messages.

We will likely also give some kind of "quick quote reply" next to each reply for the scenario where you just want to quote a single reply.

In any event, the feature has not yet been implemented, so this is just a high level overview of how we're anticipating things will work.  It is by no means a promise to implement the feature as described here since we may need to alter the design a bit during implementation as we discover issues, etc.

Hopefully that gives you a clear idea of where we're going with the feature.

I also asked him if there would in the meantime a quick fix for those using IE and other browsers who can't quote at all, before this next release. Unfortunately they won't be doing this. So I will repeat my own tip which I have previously posted.

My temporary quick fix is to highlight the text to quote, press Ctrl-C, go to the reply box, type something like "Quote from " user name, then press Ctrl-V. Obviously this appears as ordinary reply text, but it's better than nothing.
