I think it is probably my imagination which scares me most.
Rather like Alfred Hitchcock would scare his audiences by ideas and anticipation rather than what he actually showed them.
Actually things which scuttle and scamper and dart and weave and move quickly give me the shudders and ab-dabs.
But I think mostly it is my own imagination which triggers fears.

We have woodlice that live down the side of our window in the bathroom - during the night they come out for a look around and i sometimes leave out a leaf or two.
Occasionally they get trapped by the curtain which has flopped over their getaway - so i help them back down their hole for another night.
