Awww brisket, i felt a bit sorry for that girl tbh, it would have been kinder for him to have a quiet word about how it was pronounced to stop her making a tit of herself.
I had a friend who used to pronounce the word blase (blah zay) as blase (to rhyme with face), I agonised for ages as to whether it was nicer to correct her or ignore it and hope that no one took the mickey out of her.

In this area I have heard it pronounced "ling-erry" for most of my life - including shop assistants who sell it!
I wonder if there is a geographical aspect to it - as well as that awkwardness about saying foreign words.
The girl on Kyle has perhaps never said  lanzhuhri in her life.


I assume that buying your own underwear for the first time caused no problems for anyone as no-one has commented on that.
