ow that hurts....  when your whole body kinda jars up through your ankle to your knee and so on.

Me & Ickle have the clumsy gene...  

worse stair fall I had was from near the top... and luckily I went onto my bum the whole way down... but bruised my cox wotsit thingy... at the base of my spine.  That hurt for ages.

Most spectacular was tripping over a doorplate (that holds the carpet in place... it wasn't loose or anything)...  and went flying.. literally through the dining room and landed face first in the dog bowl area (face wasn't actually in the water bowl or the food bowl... but some of my hair went in both).

I did something similar last year. For nearly a day afterwards, I was worried that I'd broken my foot - thankfully I hadn't. I hope you haven't any serious damage either, Jenstar.


I don't know who remembers the TV comedy "Brass", but my own accident reminded me of it. There was a character in it who was petrified of that final step when he climbed down a ladder. As he said, "If you fall off a ladder, it doesn't matter how far you fall: it's always those last few inches that kill you."
